Dr. Clint Davis
Pastor

 

Dr. Clinton L. Davis was born in Springhill, Louisiana, the son of Rev. and Mrs. Charles L. Davis. He grew up in north Louisiana where his father served Baptist churches in Sarepta and West Monroe.
 
Clint graduated from Louisiana College at Pineville in 1981 (B.A.) and from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees in 1987 and 1991.
 
Clint married Cindy Rogenmoser from Alexandria, Louisiana in May, 1979. She also graduated from Louisiana College with a B.A. degree in Elementary Education. Cindy is the principal at Vivian Fowler Elementary in Mt. Pleasant. Clint and Cindy have three children: Heather Brooke born on February 19, 1982; Rachel Hope born on November 6, 1983; and Joshua Lane born on February 1, 1987.
 
Prior to coming to Mount Pleasant in May 1992, Dr. Davis served for five years as pastor of the Eastwood Baptist Church in Haughton, Louisiana. He was pastor of the Haynes Avenue Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana from 1983-87. Other pastorates include: Emmanuel Baptist Church in Hurricane, Louisiana (1980-83); Camp Creek Baptist Church in Spearsville, Louisiana (1979-80); and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Chatham, Louisiana (1978-79). He was ordained by the Peniel Baptist Church in West Monroe, Louisiana in April 1978.
 
Clint has been active in Baptist life on the association and state convention levels. He served as moderator of the Northwest Louisiana Baptist Association in 1991. He served as a member of the Executive Board of the Louisiana Baptist Convention from 1990-92. He served on the Order of Business Committee for the Louisiana Baptist Convention from 1990-92. He has served as a trustee for East Texas Baptist University and is currently on the Executive Board of the Baptist General Convention of Texas.
 
Clint is the treasurer for the board of directors for Cypress Basin Hospice. He is also a member of the Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club.
